“I am not sure my words can adequately express how amazing it is to be honored as a finalist by this global association which has as its members some of the most accomplished women in the information security, risk management, and privacy fields. When I look at the prior recipients of this award who have included Kristin Lovejoy, President of Acuity Solutions; Julie Bernard, Principal of Ernst & Young; and Joanne Moretti, VP & Global Head of Software Marketing at Dell to name a few, I am truly humbled. I have devoted my career to working with, educating, and promoting best practices for information governance and risk management in organizations. Lastly, I want to say that I share this honor with every person who has mentored me, nurtured me, and supported me in my education and work,” said Thompson.
In its announcement, the EWF stated that Thompson is one of three finalists in her category, picked from a large number of truly accomplished women nominated for this award. Thompson’s biography and accomplishments will be shared in the EWF annual conference brochure, and will be highlighted at the awards banquet held on October 26th at the Hyatt Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch, Arizona when the final winners are announced.
